Peachy Keen Tee Crochet Pattern

The Peachy Keen Tee crochet pattern just screams “summer!” to me. The light, airy lacework keeps you cool and works up super fast. This top has an almost meditative 5-row repeat for the body section, and it’s written for sizes XS-5X!

About the Peachy Keen Tee

This top was born out of a need to just make. Do you ever get that feeling? My family and I go on a vacation every summer to visit my husband’s family. This year, I had so many looming deadlines and projects I just needed to get done, but I was worried about bringing any of them on vacation, because I knew if I lost something, I wouldn’t have time to get a replacement. Plus, there’s a lot of dirt and sand involved in this particular vacation.

So instead of all of those “Important Things”, I popped a few skeins of Cumulus yarn and a less-breakable crochet hook in my bag and off I went, with no idea what I would make. I started this top with zero plans and just worked at it row by row, and I have got to say, I love the finished product! After the first 5-row repeat of the body, I had thought about doing a different pattern every 5 rows, but that was just way too complicated for an easy summer tee, and besides, I loved it as it was. The lace edging on the hem to match the neckline just gave it that perfect finishing touch!

This pattern is worked flat in identical front and back panels, then seamed to form the top. It’s also really easy to adjust for size (basic instructions for how to do this are included in the pattern). The pattern includes instructions for sizes XS to 5X and has been thoroughly tested. Enjoy!

Materials

  • Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm, or similar worsted weight yarn, 390-840 yards main color and 195-420 yards contrasting color (see chart in pattern). I used colors Goldfish Sparked and Pearl for my sample
  • Crochet hook size J – I used my Clover SoftTouch for this project!
  • Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends.

Sizing

Sizes are based on craft yarn council bust measurements, as shown below. The garment also includes some positive ease.

  • XS-28″
  • S-32″
  • M-36″
  • L-40″
  • XL-44″
  • 2X-48″
  • 3X-52″
  • 4X-56″
  • 5X-60″

The finished length for the top is 22″ for sizes XS-XL and 24.5″ for 2X-5X, but it is very easy to modify for length, in increments of 2.5″.
