Deeply Textured Baby Blanket

As you may have read, I am expecting baby number 3 in just a few months. I just finished this awesome baby blanket for him! My son has a blanket that is knit and has little holes that he can stick his fingers through and he looooooves it, so I designed this one to have deeply textured sections perfect for little fingers to stick through.

I think this blanket is super fun. The pattern gives an illusion of granny squares, without all the hassle of sewing them together and weaving in ends. If you’re like me, you probably HATE weaving in ends. I designed this one to have very minimal finishing work. Notice all those lovely rows? Well, I think I only had 12 or 13 ends to weave in. The blanket I made for my daughter changed colors every row and had ends on both sides of every. single. row. It was torture.

The pattern is finished and available for purchase!
