Ruth Shirt

I love this shirt. It’s the first time I’ve ventured into shirt making. My daughter made the choice to be baptized at the beginning of the year, and in our church, kids typically wear white on their baptism day. So I made this shirt for her. It’s made of super soft pima cotton yarn, so it’s not itchy for her, and it has a little bit of a sheen to it instead of a typical matte cotton.

It features a little bit of lace detailing, cap sleeves, and a thicker fitted bodice made with seed stitch.

This is motivating me to want to stretch into more garments. 🙂

If you’d like to make your own, the pattern is available here, sized for girls 6, 8, and 10.
