You may remember that I made this baby blanket for my third child.
It’s awesome and he loves it but it’s a little too big and warm for him to be toting around in his car seat all summer long. So, I made a mini version! The original is 5 sections wide and 6 sections high. This mini version is only 2 sections wide and 3 sections high, and the height of each section was reduced from 18 rows to 12. It’s just right for the car seat. It’s big enough that he can grab onto and still get the same fun texture, but not so big that he gets enormously sweaty. 🙂
From now on, whenever I make a baby blanket pattern, I think I’m going to try to include a mini blanket with the pattern because it’s been awesome for us with the weather heating up for the summer.
