This baby shirt/tank top comes in three sizes – 3, 6, or 12 month. It features soft, squishy jasmine stitch at the bottom and is worked bottom up, flat, then seamed in the back. It features straps with three buttonholes for easy adjustment and to make it super easy to dress your baby (I know from experience how annoying it is to get a shirt over a baby’s head sometimes!) This project is quick and fun, but it does offer a bit of a challenge with the jasmine stitch edging. For that reason, it’s not recommended for beginner crocheters.
The pattern includes a step-by-step photo tutorial on how to do the jasmine stitch. (YouTube is helpful here, if you’re running into trouble! My video about increasing and decreasing jasmine stitch also shows how to do the base stitch.)
Materials needed:
1 ball of Drifter DK yarn (or similar)
size G crochet hook
Two buttons, 1/2″ to 3/4″
Tapestry/yarn needle for seaming and weaving in edges.
